Frequently Asked Question

How do I delete a Sales Order Line that has a Works Order associated with it?
Last Updated 7 years ago

If you need to delete a Sales Order Line that already has an associated Works Order, you first need to remove the Works Order.
You can do this using the Works Order Production List screen, by searching for the Works Order, highlighting it in the list, and then clicking the Remove Works Order button.
Once this has been completed, you can then remove the associated Sales Order Line.

If the Works Order already has bookings or times associated with it, you'll not be able to remove it. In this instance, you should choose the Cancel Works Order button instead.
The next step would be to remove any outstanding demand on the Sales Order Line by reducing its quantity by the outstanding amount. If this means that the line needs to be set to a quantity of 0, then you'll not be able to do this via the usual Sales Order screen, but instead will need to use the Adjustments screen in the System Manager section.
From this screen you can click the Sales Orders button, find your Sales Order Line, double-click it, and set its quantity to 0.
